Pre-Conference Symposium

Acquiring & Investing in Unconventional Gas Assets

“A few years ago the United States was ready to import gas. In 2009 it had become the world's biggest gas producer. This is phenomenal, unbelievable.” - Anne- Sophie Corbeau, Senior Gas Expert, IEA, January 2011.

According to the IEA, “supplies of natural gas could last more than 250 years if Asian & European economies follow the US unconventional reserves”. As unconventional gas becomes more and more economically viable to produce, countries around the world are now rushing to replicate the US success. While Australia is set to take the lead in unconventional gas development, China, India and Indonesia are close behind.

With significant investment and acquisition activity expected to rise globally, this preconference symposium offers you the chance to keep up with the changing nature of gas markets and natural gas supply, the investment trends and opportunities to invest and diversify your unconventional gas portfolio.
